Palestine Grill

I’ve been back from Como for almost a week now and have been meaning to upload photos from the trip but the weather in Zürich has just been too amazing to stay indoors.

Instead I’ve been seeing Zürich, St. Gallen and Appenzell.
Today I tried the newly opened Palestine Grill and oh my was it good!
I’ve tried my fair share of Middle Eastern food but this tops pretty much all of them.

Tucked between the Long Street Bar and the Piranha Bar the Palestine Grill itself is small but the many tables (all outdoor) ensure there is enough space for everyone to sit down and enjoy their food.

The menu is small but I think I could easily eat the same thing every day.
I went for the vegetarian option Sabich – Israeli pita bread filled with fried aubergine, egg and homemade mango sauce.
My boyfriend went for the Shish Taouk – chicken skewer, hummus and vegetables.

IMG_5773For drinks we got a lemonade which was very refreshing (ie not sweet) and a Taybeh beer from Palestine that you can only get at the Palestine Grill.

IMG_5774The colourful tables and chairs add to the ambiance making it a great place for a midday snack or dinner, although the wraps are so big they can easily fill you up.

IMG_5776Even if you’re not in the area..this is worth a detour/trip.
