This weekend the Edinburgh Christmas Market opened so my friend and I went to check it out.
Luckily it wasn’t as cold as I had remembered it being last year.
Or maybe I just dressed warmer?
Anyways, we were able to walk around without feeling like our fingers and toes were about to freeze.
But there were still a lot of people! We didn’t realise the fireworks were accompanied by music on George Street so they looked a bit unspectacular from where we were.
Oops. In the three years I’ve been here I have yet to go on the ferris wheel.
But the line is always so long…
This year I’ll wrap up warmly and wait it out.
The views from the top must be spectacular. The Princes Street Gardens all lit up.This ride looks terrifying!
You sit in these seats, you go to the top and then it spins you around.
I have never understood the thrill of rides. All wrapped up.
Sadly we were a bit disappointed with the food.
We had a steak sandwich but the meat was really fatty and hard to chew.
The waffles also seemed a bit undercooked (/baked?) which made them doughy.
Walking through the Christmas Market, seeing all the lights and the food really puts you into a festive mood.
If you’re in Edinburgh definitely go check it out.
And hey guess what:
Less than a month till Christmas!
