This post is so long overdue I debated whether to even upload it.
But there’s nothing like reminiscing about good times on a Sunday night after a weekend of living in the library, right?
We were lucky on Saturday as the sun decided to come out.
It was still really cold but the sun made it a lot more bearable.
We spent the day exploring London by the bus tour.
Doing guided bus tours is a great way to see the whole city, learn about it and then decide what you really want to see.
Most entitle you to a hop on hop off day ticket.
So that’s what we did. As you can tell it was really windy!
Jill randomly bumped into some friends from back home at the hostel (small world huh?) and they gave us the tip to visit Borough Market. We loved it!
We spent at least an hour wandering around, admiring all the food and trying as many of the samples as we could. If I lived near by, I could tell this would be dangerous for me.
So much yummy food in one place! There was a lot of British produce but they also had specialities from all over world. Wish I could’ve bought all the flowers. Jill had a falafel burger. And I had a salt beef bagel for lunch. Naturally we walked across London Bridge singing Spice Girls. Of course, we had to pull out all tourist shots.
The weekend we were there was Chinese New Year and we happened to walk on this huge parade in China Town.
Sadly there were so many people I couldn’t get a good shot of the ‘dragon’.To warm up, we went into this cute little restaurant that made handmade dumplings.
For dinner we headed over to Pho in Soho.
I found out about it through Rosie from The Londoner.
The food definitely makes me want to travel to Vietnam.
Like right now.
