A month or so ago Fit ‘n’ Tasty asked if I’d be interested in trying their juice detox once they launched in all of Switzerland.
There was no way I could turn the opportunity down, I’ve always wanted to try a juice detox.
Each one is cold pressed and packed full of fresh, organic produce.
They offer two types: ‘Detox in Colour’, suited for beginners and ‘Detox in Green’, for the more advanced.
Seeing as this was my first time, I went for the colours (plus it looks prettier no? ;) )I consider myself to be a healthy eater, consuming a lot of fruit and vegetables, little meat and very little milk products.
But surviving on juices was a lot harder than I imagined!
And I only did it for a day.
But I definitely enjoyed the idea of cleansing my body, even if only for a day. It’s vital to read the guide before you start as it explains everything you need to know.
If you’re doing the three or five day detox I suggest following their tips of adjusting your diet a few days prior to not shock the system too much.
And follow the given order of the juices, there’s a reason for it, as you can imagine.I made sure my shoes matched my juices or did I make sure my juices matched my shoes?
Either way I really enjoyed doing the one day detox but wonder if I’d last for three or *gasp* five days…
It definitely made me very grateful to always have food… Ha.
And try to distract yourself, the more you think about wanting food the worse it gets.
I got stuck into work to distract myself and the afternoon and evening passed fairly quickly and my body seemed to have adjusted slightly more to not having solid foods in my stomach.I even managed to withstand ordering this beautiful salad my friend had when we met up after work.
Thank you Fit ‘n’ Tasty for this opportunity!
Here an Instagram image I found that I thought was pretty hilarious (my parents didn’t but maybe you will…):
