Bliss balls

As I told you in my previous post, Steffe was here over the weekend and we spent Sunday testing out recipes.

Recently I’ve been getting the worst sugar cravings in the afternoon despite the fact that I’m usually a savoury person.
So I’ve been trying to find a substitute for my afternoon chocolate needs and bliss balls seemed like the perfect snack.

We used Deliciously Ella’s recipe for her raw coconut and cacao bites, except we used almond butter instead of cashew butter. And they still turned out great (for those in German speaking countries, I used Rapunzel’s Mandelmus from any Reformhaus).

They’re filling thanks to the dates and nuts, the coconut increases your energy levels and the cacao cures the sweet tooth.
Plus they’re pretty easy to make and you can make a big batch and keep them in the fridge.
Win-win situation if you ask me.
